Willimera Development Association provides settlement assistance for migrants. The Wimmera Settlement Program is available to eligible migrants in Horsham, with outreach sevices to West Wimmera, Hindmarsh, Northern Grampians and Yarriambiack municipalities.
Eligible migrants are permanent residents with low level of English proficiency who arrived in Australia during the last five years as:
- Humanitarian entrants
- Family stream migrants
- Dependants of skilled migrants; and
- Selected temporary residents
Willimera Development Association settlement services include casework, referrals, information sessions and support groups, to help migrants settle into life in Australia.
The Wimmera Settlement Program is supported by funding from the Australian Government/Department of Social Services under the Settlements Grants Program funding program.
