MEMBERSHIP: Associate Member
You Belong have volunteers that help refugees with the practical support they may need as they get on their feet. Empowering support may include helping to create a resume, driver training practice, computer skills training ,and vocational training/workplace opportunities, as well as running a weekly group for conversational English practice.
You Belong host and participate in many multicultural events and community initiatives throughout the year, raising awareness about the plight of refugees and encouraging community support for successful refugee integration to create a sense of belonging. You Belong partners with other community organisations in the Toowoomba region and the Department of Transport and Main Roads to support refugees gain their licence – through the Learner Driver Mentor Program.
