We are proud to present From Consultation to Action: Intersectionality in Settlement Practice – Where to Start in Supporting LGBTIQA+ Forcibly Displaced People, developed in partnership with the Forcibly Displaced People Network (FDPN).
This report is the culmination of an extensive engagement process with SCOA members and the wider settlement sector. The topic was identified directly by members through survey responses highlighting significant barriers to effectively engaging with and supporting LGBTIQA+ forcibly displaced people.
Members consistently identified limited staff training and awareness, alongside constrained funding and resources, as key challenges. However, the consultation also revealed a deeper need: to strengthen intersectional practice across the sector.
