The Ukrainian Helping Hand Project was developed by STARTTS, Be Kind Sydney and the Ukrainian Council of NSW.
STARTTS and other partner organisations were well placed to rapidly respond to newly displaced persons from Ukraine due to their ongoing Witness to War Project – a multilingual phone line providing support to NSW residents affected by overseas conflict.
The Helping Hand Project provided economic and psychosocial support as well as access to medical support to new arrivals displaced by the ongoing war in Ukraine. Overall, the project supported The program supported 1,930 individuals across NSW.
