Things to know before you get started

The nomination deadline is midnight, 1 October 2024
Nominations must be submitted electronically using this nomination form
The Awards will be judged by an independent panel
Finalists will be announced on 1 November 2024
The decision of the judging panel is final and cannot be appealed
All winners will be announced publicly at the Outstanding Settlement Contribution Awards ceremony
The Outstanding Settlement Contribution Awards ceremony will be held on 27 November at Old Parliament House
Condition of entry – winners are to make themselves available to attend the Awards ceremony unless there are exceptional circumstances

Eligibility criteria

Nominees must:

Reside and be working or volunteering in Australia
Be part of a community or volunteer organisation, service provider, government agency or business

Nominators cannot be a referee on the same nomination

Referees cannot be the nominator on the same nomination

Nominees will be evaluated based on the criteria for each category; you can address all or some of the criteria for each category. make sure you detail their contributions and why this person is being nominated. Referees are not limited to people in the settlement sector, they can include community members, past or current clients, or people not currently employed by settlement services. Please supply the names and contact details of two referees that are happy to be contacted for more information about the nominated person during our judging period.

Attachments

To support your nomination, you can add attachments, links or videos (this is not a requirement). The maximum number of attachments or links is ten per entry, with a maximum file size of 5MB, and up to 10MB in total. You may attach photos, graphs, tables, diagrams, videos, links and other supporting documentation with the nomination. Links can be to a website, or a video (e.g. YouTube or Vimeo URL). You can also add any extra information about the URL. Ensure attachments are relevant to the nomination and their purpose is clear to the judges. Physical examples of project or promotional collateral and materials will not be accepted. However, you may attach photos of these if they are crucial supports for the nomination.
