West Welcome Wagon is a grassroots, volunteer-powered not-for-profit organisation based in Melbourne’s western suburbs, dedicated to welcoming and supporting asylum seekers and refugees since 2013. Our all-volunteer Welcome Team conducts client intake and manages referrals to ensure our services are tailored to each household’s needs. Through the collection and distribution of high-quality donated goods – including furniture, whitegoods, bedding, clothing, and kitchenware – we provide practical, essential assistance to new arrivals who often have limited resources, helping them create safe, comfortable homes and fostering a strong sense of community inclusion and belonging.
