Wellsprings was established in 1994 to support isolated women from migrant and refugee backgrounds in Dandenong and surrounding areas. Our vision is ‘All Women Shaping their Own Lives’. Each week, over 750 women access Wellsprings’ services. They come from 39 countries of birth and speak 33 languages. Wellsprings operates as a Neighbourhood House and is a Learn Local and a Settlement Engagement Transition Supports provider. Women learn English, build digital and financial literacy, employability skills, and engage in social, cultural, and health promoting programs. Wellsprings offers wrap-around services such as family violence case management, study support initiatives for children and parenting support for mothers with young children. We strive to fulfil our mission of delivering services in a safe and welcoming place, that enable women to thrive.
