River Nile School (RNS) is a specialist secondary school based in Melbourne that supports young people from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds to successfully re-engage with education as a critical foundation for settlement, wellbeing and long- term participation. RNS delivers trauma-informed, culturally responsive and strengths-based education, integrating flexible learning, intensive wellbeing support and strong partnerships with families, community organisations and settlement services.

RNS works collaboratively across the settlement, education and community sectors to improve access, coordination and outcomes for refugee young people, and to amplify the voices and lived expertise of students and communities. Through active participation in networks, partnerships and advocacy, RNS contributes to systems-level conversations and policy development that strengthen equitable settlement pathways, educational inclusion and social cohesion.
