About Jenny Semple

Jenny has been CEO of Southern Migrant and Refugee Centre since 1998. She is a Social Science graduate with postgraduate qualifications in Management. She has over twenty years’ experience in management in the public and community sectors.  Her previous positions include Manager of Children’s and Family Services, Regional Co-ordinator for HACC programs, and Area Manager of Housing at DHS. Jenny is a Board member of the Refugee Council of Australia and Refugee Resettlement Advisory Council (Ministerial). Jenny is a graduate of Leadership Victoria's Folio Community Leadership Program.

In 2016 Jenny was elected to the National Executive of the Settlement Council of Australia. Also in 2016 at the Victorian Multicultural Commission awards at Government House, Jenny received the award for Meritorious Service to the Community.
