Governance for Members
Corporate governance is the framework of rules, practices and processes that direct a business and its strategic objectives on behalf of its stakeholders. Good corporate governance enhances an organisation’s credibility, transparency, accountability and effectiveness, and promotes a positive workplace culture.
Of particular importance to the settlement sector is the requirement to ensure accountability, transparency and to have an effective evaluation process. This is primarily important in funding and grant applications, where an organisation’s corporate governance framework is often assessed.
A good corporate governance framework is thus essential. SCoA has developed a series of resources on corporate governance for our members. These provide valuable information and resources to develop a strong corporate governance framework.
In order to inform further development of these and other resources on corporate governance, SCoA has created a short, anonymous, 1 minute survey. Please complete the survey by 31 March 2019 by clicking here.
