Madi is SCoA’s Policy & Projects Officer. She has a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Government & International Relations and Socio-Legal Studies, and a Master of Development Studies with a focus on Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Sydney. Madi first joined SCoA in early 2018 as an intern, where she conducted research on English programs for refugee and migrant children in the Australian school system. She rejoined SCoA as the Policy & Projects Officer in November 2018. Before working at SCoA, Madi was competitive gymnastics coach, judge and program coordinator while she studied. She was also an academic tutor and residential advisor at the University of Sydney, and volunteered as a Mentor with the Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience (AIME). She is passionate about human rights and social justice and is excited to be able to contribute to SCoA’s important work in these areas.
Madi also owns SCoA’s resident office dog, Tuffy.
