Manizha Waissi

I am Manizha Waissi. I am from Afghanistan. I arrived to Canberra in February 2017 carrying a diplomatic visa for three-year stay here in Canberra. My stay is based on my husband’s posting as the ambassador of Afghanistan to Australia. I can speak Dari, Pushto (as my mother tongue) and English fluently. I did my Bachelor in Business Administration in Preston University of Pakistan followed by working in non-government organisations such as Mercy Corps Afghanistan (Miro-finance program) and Management Sciences for Health (MSH) as Operating Officer and Admin & HR Coordinator. Here in Canberra I experience a busy life. I am a mother of three children; I am a member of the Spouses of Head of Missions Club where I need to attend meetings and build diplomatic relationships, accompany my husband in most of the official meetings and events, as well as a student at the University of Canberra doing my Master in Strategic Communication and Marketing.

I am pleased to have the opportunity to work as an intern at SCOA for the purpose to learn and share my theoretical knowledge gained as a student and practically engage in performing organisational tasks which will help improve my future employability and experience.
