Anya Bonan is in her final year of her Laws (Honours)/Arts double degree at the Australian National University. Through her Arts degree, she is undertaking a major in English and a minor in Advanced French.
She recently completed a placement as a volunteer paralegal at the ACT Legal Aid Commission Migration Clinic, and has a background in events management, pastoral care and wellbeing support. Through these experiences, she has developed a keen interest in Australia’s migration and settlement sector.
As a Legal Research Intern through the ANU’s Law Internship Course, Anya’s focus during her time at SCOA will be writing a paper on the impact that introducing a Bill of Rights in Australia would have on new migrants and refugees.
Anya is looking forward to contributing to the work that SCOA does in 2019.
